Unless your brand new to the internet, most people understand that in order to make extra money online, you have to bring traffic to your opportunity. Lots of people that don’t quite understand how the internet works honestly believe you can build a website, upload it to the world and the money will begin to roll in. This really is when the work just begins. It is hard for most people to see and understand how much actual time and work goes on behind the scenes before a website or business ever sees any real income or benefit from being on the world wide web.
Myself, I grew up on a farm in a rural farming community and have always known work as actual physical labor. Someone sitting at a computer all day never seemed like work to me until I got interested in computers in my late high school and early college years. I really began to see the potential of the internet in the late 90’s. This was even a little after the big tech stock boom. What I really was intrigued with was how any successful online business was basically worldwide. It was not limited to the location it was based at. If you could grow an online business correctly, with the proper product that you can market worldwide, you could move or live anywhere you would like and take your business with you and never miss a beat. Doesn’t that kind of stimulate your financial thinking a bit?
Costs involved in producing a successful internet presence or business model range greatly. The amount of money you actually spend or can spend to get started and keep the ball rolling, can be never ending and astronomical. Also the time you will take to work on your project will have to be considered. As far as I’m concerned, time is money and I’ve always felt that if I wasn’t doing something to better myself and my future that it was time wasted. Some people would disagree with me on that one, but it’s just an opinion.
Things I’ve been successful with online have been in the remanufactured inkjet and toner cartridge industry, web-site promotion, online e-book sales, Ebay and my current main business, EDC Gold. (www.BigEdc.com)
One thing I have learned in my online experiences was that it is just as easy to sell or promote a low cost product as it is a higher cost product. You market them both exactly the same way and I wanted the option to profit at the highest level possible and this is why I’m involved in the EDC program.
My first real successful marketing efforts were in the remanufactured inkjet and toner cartridge industry, which I started on Ebay. Over the time I was involved in this project, I learned many things, but probably the one thing I took away from that experience was that the money is really in the list. The list is your customer base. They are the people who sign up to your email list to stay in contact with you and your business. This is undeniably where your focus should be at in any internet marketing business endeavor.
As far as profit potential in your online business goes, the sky is the limit. I’m not kidding when I say this. When you begin to actually grow a customer base the correct way, you will never look at making a living the same way again. It’s basically a numbers game. The more targeted prospects that see your offer, the more sales you will make, and the more sales you make, the more sales you will make. Do you get what I’m saying here? I like to think of internet sales as a good disease, because once you begin to see promising results, you generally just continue to do what you’ve done to be successful up to that point and it will get bigger and bigger, or more infectious.
One thing to keep in mind is that you must be a go getter with a never fail personality, because 95% of the people who begin a business centered around the internet and internet marketing will fail or quit before they see any success. Once you begin, you absolutely cannot stop if you want to succeed.
