Robert Hammond's poignant novel, "Grace Period: The Awakening of Abel Adams" is the touching story of redemption and deliverance from a life of painful self-destruction.

Though it is a work of fiction, Hammond wants his audience to recognize that children from Christian homes are not immune to temptation, addiction or other problems.
Early on in "Grace Period" Abel Adams' Aunt Delilah predicts that he will grow up to be a preacher. However, instead of a life of righteousness, Abel begins to make poor choices at a young age and quickly falls into a downward spiral of drugs and crime. Abel's heart wrenching journey of deceit and disillusionment is much like a hell on earth, but his story ultimately ends in salvation.
