Professional Actor/Host/Corporate Trainer Jeanine T. Abraham has created Mélange Internationale: NYC Social Gatherings for Singles of all Ethnicities. Mélange hosts singles parties and networking gatherings for New Yorkers of diverse ethnicities and social backgrounds.
"I have hosted parties for top speed dating services in the city, and noticed folks are aching to form an ethnically diverse community in New York" says Abraham.
"My parents met over 40 years ago at my Auntie Titta's brownstone in Harlem. It was a place where singles would get together, enjoy great homemade food, play games, tell stories, make connections and fall in love. We need this today.
In the 21st century New York City has a rich international cultural diversity, yet many communities are still divided by race, nationality, or sexual orientation. Many individuals would love to date interracially and have friends of international backgrounds but in their trek from home to work to gym they find their social circles to be limited to these areas.
Food brings people together and New Yorkers need a place where they can let their hair down and be themselves. That's why I founded Mélange International, to bring New Yorkers of all ethnicities together to meet, greet, eat play some games, and see what happens.
Sole proprietor Jeanine T. Abraham, is a professional actor (proud member of the professional actor unions SAG, EQUITY, AFTRA) and has worked for over 10 years in NYC Theater, TV and Film. She is a corporate trainer on issues of diversity and sexual harassment awareness training for various investment banks and financial institutions on Wall Street, works as an actor/ trainer/facilitator for Managers in the pharmaceutical sales industry, and works for a non-profit organization focusing on community development and urban planning.
In addition to her corporate experience, Jeanine has hosted speed dating parties in NYC for a top speed dating service and she is an amazing cook. Food brings folks together, and people appreciate the simplest home-made recepies prepared with love. By the way… Jeanine uses the recipes passed down from her aunties and mother at her events. Her snacks are amazing.
